Visitors in Labor and Delivery
- Visitors are welcome at the discretion of the laboring mother and staff
- Visitors are also welcome to wait in the visitors waiting room located on the 7th floor
Visitors Waiting Room

Cesarean Delivery
- Operating rooms are located in the labor and delivery unit
- Partners are encouraged to accompany expectant mother during the operating procedure
- Recovery takes approximately 1-2 hours
- Normal post-partum stay is 3-4 days

Post-partum Rooms
- Located on the 7th and 8th floors
- All rooms are private with private bathrooms
- Sleeping provisions are made for partner to spend the night. Partners must be in the post-partum room by 8:30pm in order to spend the night
- While siblings are permitted to visit during the day, for safety reasons, overnight stay for siblings is not permitted
Visiting Hours
- Visitors are welcome from 8:30am to 8:30pm with special considerations made for patient’s laboring through the night
- Children under the age of 14 are not allowed to visit unless they are siblings of the newborn and must be accompanied by a visiting adult
- For the protection of our staff, babies, and patients, visitors must be in good health and free of any communicable diseases. Please inform the nurse before entering patient room if you have any questions
- Visitors must know the mother’s first and last name in order to be informed of patient’s room number
Photography and Videotaping
- The use of cameras and video cameras are at the discretion of the physician
- Equipment should operate on batteries
- Tripods are not allowed due to safety issues
- Hospital staff must provide consent to being on camera
